Mrs. Pearl Altham of Harrisonville died at her home there at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 14 (sic). She had been in poor health for several months.
Ethel Pearl, daughter of Leslie Monroe and Nannie Belle Dryden Baze, was born at Metz and would have been 82 years old July 25.
Deceased was a nurse by profession and during her lifetime had work in hospitals in various cities. During World War I she served as a volunteer Red Cross nurse. She was a member of the Metz Methodist Church.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Irene Hearn, who has made her home with her the past several years and one brother, Dryden Baze of Metz.
Funeral services were held in Harrisonville Friday afternoon and burial was in Deepwood cemetery at Nevada by the side of her husband, Dr. A. G. Altham who passed away in 1945.
Pallbearers were Lloyd Foster, Tom Parsons, Luke Scavuzza, Jim Pennington, Felix Hacker and Jordan Lindsey.
Mrs. Helen Davenport sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "How Great Thou Are," accompanied by Mrs. Alma __ Armstrong.
