Myrtle Lee Alexander, 85, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, in Euless.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at South Euless Baptist Church, 1000 Simmons Drive, Euless. Interment: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Payne Springs Cemetery in Payne Springs. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Forest Ridge Funeral Home in Hurst.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to South Euless Baptist Church, 1000 Simmons Dr., Euless, Texas.
Myrtle Lee was born April 18, 1923, in Malakoff and had been a resident of Euless for 34 years. Although a licensed beautician, Myrtle Lee spent her life doing the things she enjoyed most as a homemaker, loving wife, devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a faithful member of South Euless Baptist Church and was loved by many. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Annie Bayless; daughters, Sandura Kay Alexander Martin and Tamira Gaye Alexandra; son, Stephen Paul Alexander; sisters, Marjorie Lou Alexander and Winnie Myrle Reeves; and brothers, Alton Bayless and Clyde Bayless.
Survivors: Myrtle Lee is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, the Rev. J.D. Alexander; also loved and cherished by her son, Jerry Dean Alexander and wife, Becky, of Houston; grandchildren, Stephen Paul Alexander II and wife, Cari, of Hurst, Robert Anthony Martin and wife, Rhonda, of Plano, and Tonya Leigh Martin of Greensville; great-grandchildren, William Floyd Alexander of Hurst and Mikayla Colby Martin of Plano; brother, Alvin Bayless of Lumberton; and numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved friends and caregivers, Tom and Donna Goodson of Euless, Carla Brown of Euless, and Bob and Eloise Carlock of Gainsville.
