RUTH B. BAILEY, 96, of Alba, died Monday, Feb. 20, 1989 at the home of Geraldine Parks. She was born Feb. 7, 1893 in Troy Township, the daughter of Wilber and Carrie Allen Baxter. She is survived be a son, Russell Hicks of Fort Meade, Fla.; sisters; Mrs. Robert (Jean) Crane of Troy RD 2 and Mrs. Ellen Jennings of Troy RD 3; step-daughter, Mrs. Geraldine Spencer of Canton; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She predeceased by a son Paul Hicks, and a daughter, Dorothy Cole. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Vickery Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Herbert Punchard officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Troy.
