ROCKFORD - Nancy Drye, 57, of Rockford, formerly of Freeport, died Monday, Dec. 11, 1989, at her home, after a sudden illness.
She had been employed with Barber-Colman, Rockford, for 18 years and most recently she had been with Ingersoll of Rockford.
Born on May 25, 1932 in Freeport, she was the daughter of James R. and Grace (Stephenson) Baxter. She married Dwight Drye on Sept. 29, 1950 in Martintown, Wis.
Surviving are her husband of Rockford; a daughter, Mrs. Lucinda "Cindy" (Rick) Tucker of Rockford; a son, Reg and wife, Paula Drye of Lafayette, La.; two sisters, Joane Derevski of Freeport, and Janet Bastian of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Bill Baxter of Freeport; and a grandson, Richard Lee Tucker of Rockford.
She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.
Service was 11 a.m. today at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Home, Rockford, with Pastor Orlyn Huwe, of Good Shepherd Church, Rockford, officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established for Good Shepherd Church, Rockford.
