Mrs. Baxley was born April 25, 1931, in Givhans, a daughter of Lawrence Tucker and Mattie Gleaton Tucker.
She was a former employee of American Tobacco Company and was a member of Cordesville Pentecostal Holiness Church. An avid bingo player, her other hobby was working in her yard.
Surviving are a son – Lawrence Allen Baxley of Cordesville; two step-sons – Clifford C. Baxley, Jr. and Billy Baxley; a granddaughter – Carrinna Marie Hatton and her husband, Duane, of Cordesville; two brothers – Lawrence Tucker and Kenny Tucker; and two sisters – Gail McDowell and Ernestine Monteson . She was predeceased by sons – Ralph D. Baxley and Clifford Russell Baxley.
Her funeral service will be held at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL, Moncks Corner, Tuesday afternoon, April 8, 2014, at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow in Rehoboth United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at RUSSELL FUNERAL CHAPEL between 6 and 8 o'clock Monday evening, April 7.
