To this union were born six children, Etta Maude Tennyson, Bessie Mabel Cline, Edith Idella McDonald, Rhoda Ethel Davis, John Raymond Bain and Lloyd Ellis Bain, all of whom were at her bedside at the time of her death except Etta Maude Tennyson and Lloyd Ellis Bain who preceded her death. Mrs. Bain was converted to the Christian faith in early childhood and after joined the M.E. church at Lamar, Kansas. Her life was full of thoughtful deeds for others. She suffered a paralytic stroke in the spring of 1924 and another a week before her death.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at the M.E. church in Lamar. Rev. Courter of Bennington preached the sermon.
