Mrs. Bax was born Sept. 23, 1920 at Westphalia, the daughter of Steve and Anna Tappel Brester. She was married to Isadore "Izzy" Frank Bax on June 19, 1946 in St. Louis. He died Jan. 27, 1970. She attended the Westphalia parochial school and had been a resident of Jefferson City since 1952. Mrs. Bax was a member of St. Peter' Catholic Church.
Survivors include one son, Larry (Eugene) Bax of Jefferson City; two daughters, Mrs. Patricia Ann Cooper of Kansas City and Miss Angela Marie Bax of Jefferson City.; one sister, Mrs. Nora Kever of Taos, and one granddaughter.
Services were held Wednesday at the St. Peter's Church with Rev. Kevin Gormley officiating. Burial was in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials to the American Cancer society are suggested." (Source: Obituary in POST TRIBUNE, Jefferson City, Missouri., April 1978)
