McGAHEYSVILLE— Bernard Lionel (Leo) Bauserman,76, formerly of Port Republic,died at his home, 3301 Newark St., N. W.,
Washington, Friday morning of an apparent heart attack.
Mr. Bauserman was a son of Herbert J. and Ada Florence Shreckhise Bauserman and was born July 14, 1890 at Port Republic, Va.
He was a retired employe of the Internal Revenue Service and had previously been employed by banks in Washington and at Grottoes. He was in the Quartermaster Corps in World I.
On June 24, 1936, he married Ethel Diehl, who survives. He is also survived by one daughter, Mrs. John Knisley of Ithaca, N. Y.; two sons, L. Bauserman of Washington and Jason B. Bauserman, a student at Bridgewater College, and two grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Port Republic Methodist Church by the Rev. Huron G. Collins, Burial will be in Mill Creek Cemetery.
The family will meet at the home of his brother-in-law, Vernon Diehl, near Pineville Sunday at 2 p.m. Mrs. Bauserman and her family will be staying at the Diehl home for the weekend.
The body is at the W. H. Kyger Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends 8:15 to 9:15 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be Harry and John F. Miller Jr., William Dinsmore, J. J. Nicholas, Robert Downs and Arthur Scott.
