Bernice C. Baures, age 88, of Fountain City, WI, died on Sunday, January 11, 2009, at St. Michael's Lutheran Home in Fountain City.
Bernice was born on December 22, 1920, in Fountain City, WI, to William and Lydia (Wolfe) Baures.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fountain City.
Bernice worked for many years at the Winona Knitting Mills and Lake Center Industries. Some of her favorite activities included bowling, reading and going to the casino.
Bernice is survived by her sister, Marian Buchmiller, Winona, MN; sisters-in-law, Violet Baures, Fountain City, WI, and Janice Baures, Onalaska, WI; brother-in-law, Floyd Kriesel, Fountain City, WI; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Beatrice Sendelbach; sisters, Armella Kunda and Delores Kriesel; and brothers, Marvin Baures and Sylvan Baures.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 AM on Friday, January 16, 2009, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fountain City, WI. The Reverend Rick Roberts will officiate.
Burial will in St. Mary's Cemetery, Fountain City, WI, in the spring.
Visitation will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Fountain City, WI, on Friday, January 16, 2009, from 10 AM until the time of the Mass.
