STURGIS - Mrs. Fred (Florence Addie) Bauman, 58, former Sturgis area resident, died Saturday at her home in Colorado Springs, Colo., after a short illness.
Services were Tuesday in Colorado Springs. Graveside rites will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
Florence A (Garr) Bauman was born May 31, 1918, at Govert. She attended school in Deadwood. She married Frederick Bauman June 30, 1939, in Sturgis, and had lived in Colorado Springs since 1956.
Mrs. Bauman was a member of the Roman Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary, and Retired Enlisted Men's Auxiliary.
Surviving are her widower, Fred, Colorado Springs; a daughter, Joyce, at home; two sons, Don, Colorado Springs, and Fred, Oxnard, Calif.; her mother, Mrs. Hugh Ott, Rapid City; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Karrels, Sturgis.
A memorial has been established to the American Cancer Society.
