Kathryn L. Simpson, 93, of Evansville, died Monday morning at St. Mary's Medical Center. She attended Trinity Methodist Church and was a member of Eagles 427 and Veterans Wars Auxiliary 1114. Surviving are two daughters, Mary K. Ford of Evansville and Doris Shoemaker of Culpeper, Va; a sister Melba Bohannon of Glendale, Calif.; six grandchildren, James, John, Jeffrey and Jerel Simpson, Kathy Williams and Leroy Shoemaker; eight great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Her husband, Burgess H., died in 1973.
Services will be held at 10 am Thursday at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel, the Revs. Ted Tempel and John Beatty officiating, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or to the American Diabetes Association.
