Age 85, in Coronoa and formerly of Rochester, NY. Entered Eternal Rest following recent illness, peacefully on Saturday evening with her loving children and family by her side.
Mary Ann was the youngest of eight children born to Henry and Katherine Bauman, immigrants from Hungary.
She earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing and was devoted to medicine and healthcare for more than forty-five years, especially in her beloved Rochester General Hospital.
Raised in Rochester, she was a Class of 1943 graduate of Ben Franklin High School, thereafter going through and graduating college to gain her Nursing credentials.
Mary Ann loved being with her family, making her special "Hot Wings" for family get-togethers, attending all the family events, especially the joyous weddings, her doll collection & collecting, crafts - particularly quilting, sewing & knitting, and her Senior Center events. She loved to "get-away" and be "on-the-go" enjoying the bus trips with her fellow Seniors.
Mary Ann was a devoted wife, loving mother, adored grandmother, sister and friend.
She will be greatly missed by her children, daughter JoAnn LaDuque of Louisiana and son John (JoAnne) Allaway of Yorba Linda, CA as well as three beautiful grandchildren, Dream, Nicolette and Racquel, two great-grandchildren Ryan and Brittany as well as many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
She now joins her late parents, her cherished husband of more than 30 years Joe Allaway (d 1995), siblings Kate, Lena, Betty, Jewel, Hank, George, Fred and son-in-law Bob Encarnacao in Eternity.
