Mrs. Chas. Baughman Died Monday
Died, in Osage City, Kans., Mrs. Chas. Baughman, Monday, Mar. 16, 1931, aged 22 years, 7 months and 2 days.
Mrs. Baughman had been in Osage City the past several weeks with her mother, Mrs. Mike Kirn, and her sickness was but of brief duration. Seemingly with us today active in life's round of duty and love, but gone tomorrow.
Only a few days ago she was married to Chas. Baughman, of Reading, whom she leaves with two small children, Barbara Jean and Charles Robert, together with her mother, father, two sisters, Mrs. J.G. McAntee and Miss Frances Brandon, and a brother, Leo, together with other relatives and many friends to mourn her loss.
Katherine Brandon was born near Reading but spent several years of her life with her parents in Osage City, receiving her high school education here. After her marriage she and her husband lived near Reading for some time and were living in Emporia at the time of Mrs. Baughman's death. She was of a kind sweet disposition and her death will be mourned by many.
Funeral services were held from the St. Patrick's church Wednesday morning, March 18, with Father A.R. Portelance.
Among those attending the funeral from out-of-town were Mrs. Julia Luther, Mr. and Mrs. J.G. McAntee, Mr. and Mrs. F.C. Baughman, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Baughman, of Reading; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wolf and son of Yuma, Colo., Miss Pearl Baughman of Las Vegas, N.M. and L.W. Brandon, of Brewster, Kansas.
The Osage City Free Press extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved husband and family and other relatives.
