Aurilla Fidelia Bauder was born at Fonda, New York, Sept. 5, 1840, and departed this life at Lushton, Nebraska, April 20, 1934, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C.P. Moul, at the ripe age of ninety-three years, seven months and fifteen days.

She was united in marriage near Mendota, Illinois, to Isaac Avery, May 20, 1857, at the age of seventeen years. Beside her own family, Mrs. Avery cared for and reared to maturity two children by adoption, Mrs. Margaret Austin, Mendota, Illinois, and one son, Bert Avery of Mr. Vernon, Iowa.

In the year 1880, she with her husband and family, moved from Illinois to the vicinity of Fairmont, later settling near the Seeley Mill, southwest of Lushton, where Mr. Avery was employed as a mechanic.
