Albert Ray Battenfield, age 67 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

The son of Albert and Edith Mae (Smith) Battenfield was born August 10, 1945 in Harrison, Arkansas.

He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam. He worked for Rock Tenn and Flex Steel for many years. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling and reading car magazines.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, James Battenfield; and a brother, Andy Battenfield.

Survivors are his wife of 43 years, Roseann (Mehmert) Battenfield of the home; son, Jeremy Battenfield of Harrison; daughter, Teresa McGehee and husband Mike of Miller, Missouri; brother, Arlis Battenfield of Harrison; sister, Anita Jones of Gerber, Kansas; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service 3 P.M. Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Coffman Chapel in Harrison.

Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home.
