Visitation is 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary, where Moline Lodge 1014 will conduct Masonic services at 7:30 p.m.
Mr. Batson died Saturday at Lutheran Hospital after an extended illness.
He retired in 1967 as an inspector at International Harvester, Farmall Plant, Rock Island, where he was employed 37 years.
Mr. Batson was born in Montpelier, Ind. He marrieid Mary Lockheart in December 1945 in Rock Island.
He was a veteran of World War II. He was awarded the Silver Star.
He was a former member of Zal Grotto, Moline, and a member of Moline Lodge; Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Moline, and Hillsdale American Legion.
Survivors include his widow; a daughter, Mrs. Nancy Dernovish, East Moline; a son Fredrick, Huntington Beach, Calif.; a stepson, Ron Robinson, Hillsdale, and six grandchildren.
