Polly was the third child born to John and Chloe (Fuller) Bates on July 16, 1777. She had two brothers: Alanson born Jan.30, 1772 and Jacob born Feb. 28, 1774 died Mar. 17, 1779. All were born in Attleborough, Bristol Co. MA.
