East Fork, Miss., May 5. — Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the East Fork Baptist church for Curtis Leon Bates, a prominent citizen of this community.
Mr. Bates was 49 years old and died in McComb on Saturday, following an operation. The funeral services were conducted by the Rev. J. B. Hunt of McComb.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Neola Bates, two small children and a brother, Q. J. Bates, two sisters and other relatives.
Interment was made in the Hollywood cemetery.
