The body of Bernard, 3-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Bateman arrived in Mansfield Saturday from Alma, Michigan and was taken to the home of W. H. Firke. Funeral services were conducted at the Firke home Sunday afternoon by Rev. J. L. Settle, pastor of the Methodist Church. The body was buried in Mansfield cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Bateman are former residents of Mansfield; having moved to Alma, Michigan in 1912. The child died Thursday of last week, May 20, 1915 after a very brief illness due to cholera infantum.
