Cleone Bateman Turner, 78, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010 at her home in Alpine, Utah. Born in Alpine, Utah on March 4, 1931 to Frank O. and Erma Martin Bateman. Cleone married the love of her life, Leo D. Turner on June 27, 1950, later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She graduated from American Fork High School in 1949. After graduation she lived and worked at the Beehive House in Salt Lake City until she got married. She enjoyed caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She worked out of their home as a beautician for many years. She was a great cook and seamstress. Cleone was active in the LDS Church, serving in Sunday School, as Young Women's president, Relief Society secretary and as a visiting teacher. She loved visitors and made them feel welcome. She dearly loved her family and friends and will be greatly missed. Cleone is preceded in death by her late husband, Leo D. Turner and grandson, Casey David Turner. She is survived by her children Nora Begay (Gary) Louis, David Turner, Jil (Howard) Healey, Jeri (Randy) Bankhead, Dean (Jacquelynne) Turner and Michael (Marka) Turner. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother Maurice Bert (Arlene) Bateman, and sister Gwen (George) Kotsiopulos Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Mountainville 2nd Ward LDS Chapel, 165 North 100 East, Alpine, Utah. Family and friends may call on Sunday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Warenski Funeral Home, 1776 North 900 East, American Fork, Utah and at an additional viewing on Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be held at the Alpine City Cemetery.
