Before retiring in 1997, Wade was a human resource professional with Nabisco, East Hanover, N.J. He was a Boy Scout leader with Troop No. 91/349 in Hillsdale, N.J., and a member of the Motor Bus Society. Wade was a lifelong, active member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Hillsdale, N.J.
He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Marion Bates.
He leaves to mourn his wife, two daughters and two sons with their spouses, four grandchildren, a brother and his spouse.
Services were held at Becker Funeral Home and at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church with Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, N.J.
