Mrs. Cleo Marie McCuller, age 89, passed away Tuesday, August 25th, 2009 at Kingsland Hills Care Center in Kingsland, Texas. Mrs. McCuller was born October 27th, 1919 in Red River County, Texas to Richard Emmett and Rosie Viola Bishop Batchelor.

Cleo married John Marshal McCuller on January 4, 1936 in Ashdown, Arkansas. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Virgil and Freda McCuller of El Paso, Arkansas; two daughters and son in-law, Ella Lodainer Wortham of Howe, Texas; and Joyce Wyvonne and Fred Tull of Burnet, Texas. One daughter in-law, Betty McCuller of DeKalb, Texas and a son in-law, Dale Swink of DeKalb, Texas; one brother and sister in-law, Ray and Alline Batchelor of DeKalb, Texas; and a sister, Faye Trimm of Avery, Texas; eighteen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McCuller was preceded in death by her husband, John M. McCuller on December 10th, 1976; three children: Jova Nell Farrar on March 26, 1998, James Marshall McCuller, and Ola Gertrude Swink. One granddaughter, Marcella Wortham and a grandson, John Cecil Swink.

A Celebration of Life service was held for Mrs. McCuller on Saturday, August 29th, 2009 at the Bates Family Funeral Home Chapel in DeKalb, Texas. Her grandsons, Daniel Hobbs and Jodie McCuller, each delivered memorial tributes to their Grandmother during the service. Interment followed at the Woodmen Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Russell McCuller, Jodie McCuller, Boyd Ray Swink, Jr. Wortham, Daniel Hobbs and Jimmy Batchelor.
