"Dale Bastin age 70 of Horse Cave and Davenport, Florida passed away at 11:53 p.m. Monday February 6, 2012 at the Orlando Regional Medical Center in Orlando, Florida after a brief illness. He was a native of Green County, Kentucky, a Farmer and had retired after 27 years as a Plumbing Inspector for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He was a member of the Horse Cave Baptist Church where he had formerly served as the Chairman of the Usher's and as a Trustee. He was a former member of the Horse Cave Jay Cee's and a current member of the Hart County Cattleman's Association and the Gideon's International, he was also a Kentucky Colonel. Dale is survived by his wife of 49 years, Alletta Coats Bastin of Horse Cave and Davenport, Florida and by two Half-Nieces, Amelia Kessler Allison of California and Lavada Kessler Smidt of Colorado."
