LATTA - Celia Bass Basham, 47, died Tuesday in a Sykesville, Md. hospital after a long illness.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Latta Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, directed by Canaday's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Basham was born in Latta, a daughter of the late Joe M. and Carrie Hayes Bass. She was employed for many years as a nurse at Springfield Hospital in Sykesville, Md.
Surviving are two sons, John R. Basham Jr. of Biloxi, Miss. and Guy Bass Basham of Sykesville, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. C. B. Cox of Greensboro, N.C. and Mrs. Ben Evans of Anderson; three brothers, Henry R. Bass and Guy H. Bass of Grovetown, Ga., and the Rev. Ben J. Bass of Florence.
