Born in Williamsburg , PA on October 7, 1924, he was the son of the late George Bashline and Fern Lewis Bashline.
In September of 1949 he married Eria Magrini in East Brady. She preceded him in death January 1989.
Duane worked for Owen-Illinois Glass Company for 33 years as a foreman.
He also was a life member of the Clarion VFW and the American Legion Post # 66.
Duane served in the US Army with a rank of Sergeant 1st Class in the European Theatre in World War II.
Duane enjoyed hunting, walking daily with his dog, Zeke, watching NASCAR racing and football games.
He is survived by his son, Wendell Bashline and his wife Martha of Emlenton, PA and a daughter Debra Robertson and her husband Charles of Clarion, PA. Also surviving are six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, his wife, Eria, five brothers, Ronald, Clifford, Basil, Arnold and Gerald and seven sisters, Romane Bashline, Margauerite Bashline, Ruby Bashline, Virginia Platt, Vivian Cramer, Edith Reedy and Eleanor Massey. Also preceding him was an infant grandson.
At the request of the family there will be no visitation or memorial services and interment will be private for the family and be held at a later date.
