She married Everett Leroy Bash on May 21, 1931, at Lancaster, Missouri. He preceded her in death on November 12, 1969. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Velma Mae Galland; brother-in-law, Charles Henry Galland; a nephew, Hilbert Henry Galland; and her parents, Jacob Henry and Eva Lovina Boley Blum.

She lived in Kahoka and Ashton (Missouri) before moving to Keokuk in 1960. She had lived with her daughter in Linden, Texas since 1992. She was a homemaker and member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka, Missouri, and Keokuk, Iowa, and also of Royal Neighbors of America.

She was survived by two daughters, Viona Lee Beene and Marcine Leighty; eight grandchildren: Thomas Hicks, Gary Hicks, Michael Hicks, Cindy Veillon, Dan Leighty, Dianne Leighty, Jesse Beene, and Jennifer Breland; ten great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a nephew, Wayne Bash; two nieces, Marlene Burnett and Judith Doty; cousins, Wayne Blum, Laneta Gares, Eloise Vibert, Jim Boley, Delbert Boley and Frances Oliver; six great nieces and nephews; ten great-great nieces and nephews; and, many friends.
