SOPERTON
Ruby M. Barwick, 89, died Sept. 12, 1998 at home.
She was a lifelong resident of Soperton, the widow of Dr. James G. Barwick and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a charter member of Soperton Chapter No. 342 of Order of the Eastern Star, served as the chapter's first secretary and retired from the Department of Family and Children Services in Soperton after 35 years.
SURVIVORS: a son, James Barwick of Tucker; a daughter, Ruby Jo Sanders of Fayetteville; a sister, Helen Ganas of Mobile, Ala.; a brother, Durden Mullis of Soperton; two grandchildren, Debra Brookner of Tucker and Garret Sanders of Fayetteville; and a great-granddaughter, Amanda Ferris of Tucker.
