Died 12:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 17, 1987, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 43, a native of Winnfield and resident of Baton Rouge. He was an administrator of Jefferson Manor Nursing Home.

Visiting at Southern Funeral Home, Winnfield, 8 a.m. until religious services, 11 a.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Jimmy Brassette and the Rev. Waynon Mott. Burial in Brown Cemetery, Winnfield.

Survived by wife, Mrs. Tina Barton, Baton Rouge; two sons, Michael Barton, Monroe, and Anthony Barton, Baton Rouge; a daughter, Cynthia Barton, Baton Rouge; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Virgil Barton, Winnfield; and a sister, Mrs. Martha Harmon, Thibodaux.

He was a member of Laurel Heights Baptist Church, Winnfield.
