Marilynn Barton Place passed away Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008.
Service: 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Southlake Assembly of God, 101 E. Highland St., Southlake. Interment: noon Friday in Crims Chapel Cemetery in Rusk County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at J.E. Foust & Son Funeral Directors, 523 S. Main St., Grapevine.
Marilynn was such a loving mom, meemaw, sister, aunt and friend. She loved singing and playing Southern gospel music on the piano, seeing her grandchildren, holding her dog, Trixie, and, of course, catfish dinners. She was always up for a new adventure.
A special thanks to the GV Senior Citizen Center, which she so enjoyed attending, especially Country Jam on Mondays and singing in the choir.
Survivors: Daughter, Carla McKelvey and husband David, of Grapevine; son, Chris Onstad and wife, Tracy, of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Ben and Jacob McKelvey and Kasie Lynch; sister, Rubye Gayle Hardin and husband, Everett, of Longview; nephews, Randy Hardin and wife, Jerrine, and Brad Hardin and wife, Darlene; many nieces and nephews from the Onstad family; and her very special friends, Judy Gonzales, Cheryl Wilson, Johnnie Riggs, Doris Earp and Barbara Wade.
