Funeral services for Mrs R. E. (Carra) Hudgins, 87, a native of Danville and a lifetime resident of Gregg County, was held at 10am Monday in Rader Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bill Smythe will officiated and burial was in Gum Springs Cemetery.
Mrs Hudgins died at 4am Friday at the Holiday Lodge Rest Home after a long illness. She was born October 14, 1884, at Danville, and was a member of First Christian Church. She is survived by three sons, Archie and Earl Hudgins, both of Longview; John Robert, Corpus Christi; a daughter, Mrs W. S. Alford also of Corpus Christi; two brothers, Earl and Robert, both of Longview.
