Mrs. Anna Barto, 88, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. David H. Lingle of 300 West Maple Street, Palmyra, with whom Mrs. Barto resided for the past three years. Mrs. Barto had been bedfast for two days prior to her death.
She was a native of South Annville Township and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Veronica Hostetter Westenberger. She was the last of her immediate family.
She was a member of the United Christian Church at Mt. Pleasant.
Her husband, Ezra Barto, died in 1933. In addition to the daughter with whom she made her home, she leaves to survive three other daughters: Mrs. Minnie Brunner, Palmyra, and Mrs. Paul Bomgardner and Mrs. Herman Hossler, both of Fontana; a son, Harvey J. Barto, Hummelstown R.D.; 16 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. [Lebanon Daily News, Lebanon, Pa., Thursday January 11, 1951]
