Archie J. Bartley, 76, of Hernando, Fla., died Saturday in Marian Community Hospital in Ocala. He was a member of Hernando First Baptist Church. He was with B. F. Goodrich Tire Company for 24 years and with The Borden Milk Company for 22 years. He owned and operated Evergreen Nursery in Barberton, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl McCarty Bartley; daughters, Mrs. Pauline Frazier of Dillburg, Pa., Mrs. Beverly Naylar of Ft. Lauderdale, Fl.; two granddaughters, Brenda and Karen Frazier of Dillburg, Pa.; two grandsons, Rickey and John Riley of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; a son, US Marine Lt. Carl J. Bartley, who was lost at sea in February, 1944, WWII; brother, Hobart G. Bartley of Jacksboro; sisters, Mrs. Ida Claiborne, Mrs. Ola Woods, and Mrs. Dola Queener all of Jacksboro.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cross Chapel by the Rev. Ernest Thomas. Burial was in Fincastle Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to the building fund of the First Baptist Church of Hernando.
Cross Funeral Home, LaFollette, was in charge of arrangements.
