WILLIAMSBURG - Maxine Elizabeth Bartlett, 36, died Thursday, June 7, in Williamsburg.

A lifelong area resident, Mrs. Bartlett was employed as a cook at Quality Suites. She was a member of Chickahominy Baptist Church, Toano.

Survivors include two daughters, Kizzy Christian and Cynthia Bartlett, both of Williamsburg; eight sisters, Rosa Wallace, Roberta Dandridge, Mary Ashlock, Phyllis Williams and Queen Hundley, all of Williamsburg, and Geraldine Johnson of Toano, Shirley Mosely of Philadelphia, and Lorraine Meekins of Long Branch, N.J.; six brothers, William Bartlett, Ernest Bartlett, Clifton Bartlett, Charles Bartlett and Jesse Bartlett, all of Williamsburg, and Fred Bartlett of Carthage, N.Y.; and a granddaughter.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the church by the Rev. J.H. Moody. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Family and friends will assemble at 5412 Old Towne Road by 1 p.m. Monday.
