Funeral service for Ernest Berhert Bartholomew, 61, who died at his home, 6310 S.E. 94th avenue, Tuesday after a long illness, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. in the chapel of the Mount Scott funeral home.
Mr. Bartholomew, a plumber by trade, was born in Bainbridge, O. He was graduated from the Methodist Ministerial college, Oberlin, O., and was employed as a government engineer during the first world war.
He was a charter member of the Portland Symphony orchestra and played in the violin section. During World War I he was director of the Albina Engine & Machinists band.
He leaves the widow, Lucille, and a brother, Theron L. Bartholomew.
