Ann Catherine BARTHELMESS was born about the 17th of December 1818, the eldest child of John B. BARTHELMESS Sr. & Catherine Ann ASHTON. She died 10 August 1819, age 8 months, a native of Georgia - she died of Teething, in Yamacraw, with Dr. SHEFTALL Sr. attending.

Her burial was originally in the old City Burying Ground, now known as Colonial Park Cemetery; her burial, along with those of other family members and several of their stones, was removed to Laurel Grove Cemetery on 29 Mar 1858.
