George C. Barth Jr., 65, of Evansville passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born November 2, 1949 in Evansville to the late George C. Sr., and C. Genevieve (Hudson) Barth.
George graduated from Holy Rosary Grade School, and Memorial High School in 1967. He attended Purdue University and is a current member of Resurrection Parrish. He is employed at Brake Supply Co. for over 33 years. George was an avid sports fan, especially Notre Dame football. He loved discussing football with his sons-in-law. His favorite thing to do in the whole world was to spend time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
George was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William C. Barth; and sister, Sharon Jane Barth.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Deborah (Emmerson) Barth; daughters, Jackie Goldsmith (Alan) and Angie Ashbrook (Cameron); grandchildren, Baylee, Brayden, and Braxton Goldsmith, Madison, Mia, and Emma Ashbrook; sister, Bevarly Hames; aunts, Winfred Klass and Ruth Hudson; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville, IN 47714 with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will continue from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Resurrection Catholic Church, 5301 New Harmony, Evansville, IN 47720.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the church with Fr. Phil Kreilein officiating.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. -
