• OAKLAND -- Services for Ella Mae "Chris" Bartee, 79, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Oakview Baptist Church with Boyce Moon and James Caldwell officiating. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Mrs. Bartee was born Dec. 25, 1920, in Ardmore, to Archie and Velda M. McDonald. She died July 3, 2000, in Ardmore.
Reared in the Dundee-Healdton area, she moved to Antioch and the Tyler area before moving to Oakland in 1976. She worked for the Madill school system 25 years. She and Hubert Bartee were married on Dec. 9, 1939, at Oakland. She was preceded in death by her husband on July 11, 1994; and a daughter, Caroline Bartee.
Survivors include a son, Ronny, Denison, Texas; three daughters, Deborah Hart, Madill, Sissy Patton and Lila Delozier, Oakland; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as bearers.
