Mabel Barrow Baker, 74, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at Glenvue Nursing Home. She was a lifelong resident of Glennville, a loving mother and grandmother, and loved to cook for family and friends. She was a Home Health Care provider, a homemaker, and a member of Glennville Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Barney Baker.
She is survived by one daughter, Connie L. Ferguson of Glennville; one son, Ronald L. Baker of Glennville; five grandchildren: Trina Nall, Venus Reddish, Christine Dasher, and Joanna Thomas, all of Glennville, and Patricia Lee of Phenix City, Alabama; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, at Carter Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Oscar Rowe, Jr., officiating. Burial was in Beards Creek Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Rodney Paul, Danny Lynn, Warren Dasher, Elton Reddish, Jackie Anderson, and Keith Stanfield.
Carter Funeral Chapel of Glennville, Georgia, was in charge of the arrangements.
