Pamela Louise Barrow Amerson died Monday, November 14, 2005 in a local hospital.
Mrs. Amerson was a lifelong resident of Macon, a graduate of Miller High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Georgia with a major in journalism. Mrs. Amerson loved children as evidenced by her involvement at Jessie Rice Elementary School in the Pre-K Department. She was an avid reader, a lover of animals and very passionate about musicÉparticularly The Beatles. Mrs. Amerson was a former Board Member of Woodfield Academy and was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church. The greatest love of her life was her family.
Mrs. Amerson, the daughter of the late Theodore B. Barrow, is survived by her husband, Steven Curtis Amerson of Macon; children, Ryan, Joshua and Alysha Amerson all of Macon; grandchild, Sutton L. Barrow of Macon; mother, Louise W. Barrow of Macon; sister and brother-in-law, Jan and David Shaw of Suwanee; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Donna Barrow of Macon; several nieces and nephews and her dogs, Moe, Pup-Pup and Chloe.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with burial in Riverside Cemetery, Main Gate. Monsignor John Cuddy, Father Eric Filmer, the Rev. Sonny Mason, and Dr. David Shaw will officiate. The family will meet friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at Riverside United Methodist Church and suggest that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society, P.O. Box 6560, Macon, GA 31208-6560 or to Tattnall Square Academy Building Fund, 760 Lake Crest Drive, Macon, GA 31210.
