GUNELL OMA BARROW
Gunell Oma Barrow, 86, of Quinlan, died August 16, 2004 at her residence. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at Quinlan Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Odom officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Quinlan.
Born in Quinlan on June 25, 1918, she was the daughter of W.P. and Hattie Beheler. She married John C. Barrow Jr. on January 18, 1936 in Quinlan. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend to many. She was a long-time member of The First Christian Church of Terrell.
She is survived by her son, John Barrow III and his wife, Joyce of Quinlan; two grandsons, John Barrow IV and his wife, Sue of Quinlan and Howard Glenn Barrow and his wife, Karen Jo of Greenville; two great-grandsons, Neil Howard Barrow and Jace Byers Barrow of Greenville; one great-granddaughter, Lindsey Rae Barrow of Quinlan; sister, Opal Cullom of Houston; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Pricilla Beheler of Watuga and Wayne and Francis Beheler of Royse City; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two great-grandsons, Jacob and John Barrow V and her brother, Orval Beheler.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to VistaCare, 2716 Lee St., Suite 100; Greenville, TX 75401 or the First Christian Church in Terrell, TX, 75160.
Pallbearers will be Sam Barrow, J.E. Dunahoe, Nomi Potter, J.W. Barrow, Frank Barrow and Richard Barrow.
Visitation is scheduled from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, at the Quinlan Funeral Chapel.
