Vivian Barron Miller

Vivian Barron Miller, beloved daughter, wife and mother was born March 1, 1920 to Thomas Wilson Barron, Sr. and Allene Byrd Barron and was the oldest of three children. She died at her home in Florence, Sunday, January 18, 2009.

She married Fletcher Marion Miller when she was 17 and a senior in high school and they were married for 71 years.

She joined Marvin United Methodist Church where her husband was a member and she became a faithful member and diligent church worker. She was very active in Sunday School, MUW and served as president many times as well as other offices until she became sick. She also taught Sunday School, worked with MYF, Bible School and served on various church committees. She was also a member of the Florentine Club.

Her family was her life and she will be greatly missed. She was fondly called "Mama Too" by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and all of their friends.

She leaves behind her loving husband, Fletcher Marion Miller; her son, Thomas Fletcher Miller and wife, Beth; her daughter, Ann Miller Perry; four grandchildren, Emerson Perry and wife, Grace, Elisa Perry Mosal and husband, Dave, Laurie Perry Parker and husband, Brandon and Marc Miller and wife, Brittany; her great grandchildren, Anna Payton Parker and Tripp Mosal and three more expected in April and May; her sister, Rosalyn Barron Stewart and husband, Allen; her sister in law, Belle Barron; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Wilson Barron, Sr. and Allene Byrd Barron; her brother, T.W. Barron Jr.; her grandson, Ben Miller; Vivian and son in law, O.E. Perry.

Our family wishes to extend a very special thank you to Sta-Home Hospice staff for the loving care and support given to our loved one and family for the past six months.

Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Tuesday, January 20, 2009, at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with interment at Florence Cemetery.
