Mrs. Bame was a homemaker, a member of Crain Baptist Church and a past matron of Ava Chapter 785 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was born Aug. 1, 1910, in Cambria, to Marion and Francis Lew Barringer. She married Raymond J. Bame on June 13, 1931, in Murphysboro. He preceded her in death May 18, 1983.
Survivors include a son, W. Dean Bame of Ava; a grandson, Kevin Bame of Murphysboro; a granddaughter, Laura Bame of Murphysboro; a grandson, Alex Bame of Murphysboro; and two sisters, Gertrude Robinson of Belleville and Mary L. Falkenberry of East St. Louis.
Her parents and three brothers also preceded her in death.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Wilson Funeral Home in Ava. Burial will be in Ava Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call after 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
