Andrew V. Barrick founded the Euclid Paper Co. in 1948.
He was born in Cleveland and graduated from John Hay High School in 1938, where he was on the football team.
He attended the University of Tampa.
Mr. Barrick became ill at a meeting Friday at the Croatian Lodge in Eastlake and died of what appeared to be a heart attack, according to a son. He was 76.
He was drafted into the Army early in 1941 and served as a master sergeant. He fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
He retired at age 65 but remained active in the family business.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Florence; sons, Andrew John of Springfield, Va., Dr. Daniel of Conneaut, David of Euclid and James of New York City; a brother; and three sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Paul Catholic Church, 1369 E. 40th St., Cleveland. Arrangements are being handled by the Golub Funeral Home in Cleveland.
