Blanche Mae Barrick, 75, of 213 Steelstown Road, North Newton Township, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 1999 in Carlisle Hospital.
She was born Jan. 2, 1924 in Bloserville and was a daughter of the late John Oscar and Minnie Caroline Minnick Barrick. She resided all her life in the Carlisle and Newville areas.
Ms. Barrick attended Newville High School and was formerly employed by Bedford Shoe Company in Carlisle, C.H. Masland and Sons in Carlisle and U-Wanna-Wash Frocks in Newville.
She was a member of St. Mary's United Methodist Church in Bloserville and Sunday School class No. 7.
She is survived by three brothers, Lester E. Barrick, with whom she lived, Gerald L. and Dale E. Barrick, both of Newville; two sisters, Mildred E. Barrick of Newville and Mary E. Barrick of Carlisle; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999 at 10:30 a.m. in Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Iva L. O'Brien and the Rev. Alex Quigley officiating.
Burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens in North Middleton Township. Friends may call Wednesday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
