Nellie Younie Barrett was born at Sugar Grove, Warren county, Pa., March 12, 1874 being 44 years, 3 months and 3 days old at the time of her death, which occurred at the hospital in Maryville, Saturday evening, June 15, 1918.
She united with the Presbyterian church in early girlhood and remained a faithful member until the end.
She was united to John S. Barrett, September 9, 1914. She leaves besides her husband, an aged father, Wm. Younie of Sugar Grove, Pa., and two sisters, Mrs. Wm. Thorpe and Mrs. Marion Daniels of Sugar Grove, Pa., and two half brothers, Gerald Younie of Sugar Grove, Pa., and Page Younie of Oklahoma.
The funeral services were held in the M. E. church, Monday morning; June 17th, conducted by the pastor; Rev. D. F. Harrison.
Mrs. Barrett was of a quiet disposition, loved and honored by all who knew her. Always interested in every movement for the betterment of society.
She will be greatly missed by the church and Sunday school as well as by the Red Cross, W.C.T.U. and the different orders to which she belonged.
Of her it could truly be said: "none knew her but to love her."
The interment was in the Masonic cemetery."
