She was born Sept. 5, 1912, in Cass County, Mo. She was a graduate of a business college before working at banks in Lubbock and San Antonio. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the Friendship Sunday School Class. She married Howard F. Barrett on June 7, 1943, in Lubbock.
Survivors include her husband; a son, William H. (Bill) Barrett of Lubbock; a daughter, Susan Barrett Carter of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Geneva Nicewarner of Morton; a brother, Sherman Famuliner of Carrollton, Mo.; four granddaughters; and a great-grandson.
