Daniel L. Baroody, 65, a resident of Sherman, CT, died on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at his home in Sherman, CT. Mr. Baroody served as the Health Director for the Town of Sharon and the Assistant Health Director for the City of Danbury for 10 years.
Born on January 17, 1951 in Geneva, NY, he was the son of Wilda (Gerald) Baroody of Geneva, NY and the late John J. Baroody, Sr.
Mr. Baroody was a graduate of SUNY Brockport, class of 1974. He also graduated from the New York Medical College with a master's degree in Public Health. Mr. Baroody was a member of the Lebanon-American Club in Danbury, CT.
Besides his father, Mr. Baroody was predeceased by his former wife Amanda Shufelt. In addition to his mother, Mr. Baroody is survived by his son John Scott Baroody of Sherman, CT. He is also survived by a brother, John J. Baroody, Jr. of Sherman, CT and two sisters, Janice Padula of Plattsburgh, NY and Cynthia Baroody of San Jose, CA.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Hufcut Funeral Home, 3159 Route 22, Dover Plains, NY.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the funeral home.
