Janette Mahana Baron Andersen
BRIGHAM CITY - Janette Mahana Baron Andersen returned to her loving Heavenly Father on November 22 2012 after a year-long battle with AML Leukemia. Janette was born on May 11, 1984, youngest daughter of Roger and Chris Baron of Brigham City Utah.
Janette lived an exemplary life. In her short time on earth, she managed to touch the hearts of literally thousands of individuals. She was beautiful on the outside and on the inside. Janette's life centered around her two boys, Conner and Brayden, and her husband, Marc, who loved her dearly. She felt strongly that being a wife and mother was a noble calling, and she put her whole heart and soul into it. She radiated goodness, and her influence was felt by all she knew whether it was for ten years or ten minutes.
Janette graduated from Box Elder High School in 2002 and attended Weber State University. She enjoyed acting and had leading roles in a number of plays while in high school. It was while still in high school that Janette met her future eternal comanion and soul mate, Marc Andersen. Following his LDS mission, she and Marc were sealed together for time and for all eternity in the Bountiful Temple on January 10, 2003 Marc and Janette moved to Birmingham, Alabama n 2008 so that Marc could attend pharmacy school at Samford University. They enjoyed their time in Alabama and made many wonderful friends there.
Janette was always an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She served In many callings, including the primary presidency. Her faith in and dedicaion to Heavenly Father was a constant in her life and was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Janette was diagnosed with AML leukemia in November 2011. Despite the extreme suffering during the last years of her life, Janette somehow maintained a positive attitude. Even during that time, she focused her energy on being a good mother, wife, and friend. When Marc and her boys would come and see her in the hospital, her whole countenance lit up with joy and she literally ran to where they would meet, pulling the pole with her medication pumps behind her. During the months she spent at the Huntsman Cancer lnstitute, Janette spent her time developing new hobbies and talents and on serving others. While in the hospital, she painted wooden dolls and made clothes for them to be given to the children in the cancer unit of the Primary Children's Medical Center. She also wrote inspiring articles that were read by the thousands who followed her internet blog, www.jannettesjourney03.blogspot.com. Just prior to her passing, she was in the process of writing a book about her experiences.
On November 22, 2012 Janette passed away at the Huntsman Cancer lnstitute, surrounded by her family and in the arms of her loving husband.
Janette is survived by her husband, Marc Andersen and her two sons, Conner and Brayden. Also surviving are Janette's parents, Roger and Christine Baron, her Grandmother, Gwenna May Bowen, her siblings, Teresa Olschewski, LeAnn Jensen, Bryan Baron, Steven Baron, and Alan Baron; Marc's parents, Gary and Linda Andersen, and his siblings Lori Obray, Becky Andersen, Melissa Jensen, Julie Berchtold, Kiersten Ogles, Scott Andersen, and Zachary Andersen.
