He was born September 2, 1912 in Waukegan, IL of which he was a long time resident. He was a former member of St. Bartholomew Church and a member of St. Dismas Church. He retired in 1974 as a State Police Officer for the State of Illinois after 33 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal order of Police.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Bernice Baron (nee Maciulis); a son, Thomas Baron of Waukegan; a daughter Mary Anne (Daniel) Sharp of Elk Grove, IL; a granddaughter, Kathryn Sharp of Elk Grove, IL; a sister, Grace Baron of Waukegan; also his loving care giver, Gloria Serrano of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Bernice Hutchinson.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 15, 2001 from 10 AM until time of Mass at 10:30 Am at St. Dismas Catholic Church 2600 Sunset Ave. Waukegan. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Salata Gurnee Funeral Home.
