| Birth: | Dec. 11, 1929 Seminole Seminole County Oklahoma, USA | | Death: | Aug. 1, 2012 Chandler Lincoln County Oklahoma, USA |  Ector E Barnhart, was born on December 11, 1929, in Seminole, OK, and departed this life, Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at his home in Chandler, at the age of 82 years.
Ector was the son of Raymond Ted and Claudia Odessa (Howell) Barnhart. He married Helen Josephine Palmer, June 18, 1949. Mr. Barnhart was involved with the natural gas industry in manufacturing processing equipment, problem solving, and consulting for over 60 years. His education includes studies at the University of Oklahoma and the University of New Mexico. Ector's long term experience in the petroleum industry includes, engineering design and operations in refining, production, gas gathering, gas processing, transmission, measurement, and distribution. He was thoroughly schooled in field operations with British-American Project Engineering and management skills through Ball-Reid Engineers, Incorporated and Gas Conditioners, Inc. Ector's many years of experience in field processing instrumentation and controls had made him renowned as a troubleshooter for field processing and production systems for many major gas companies. Ector was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chandler.
His parents, wife, one son, and two brothers, preceded Ector in death.
Survivors include, two daughters and sons-in-law, Max and Grover Gregory of Chandler, Pamela and John Dryer of Chandler, OK, one daughter-in-law, Peggy Barnhart of Okay, OK, one sister, Dorothy Lancaster of Newalla, OK, nine grandchildren, twenty five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Graveside services will be held at 9:00 AM, Monday, August 6, 2012, at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, August 6, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Chandler, with Rev. Rick Blackwell officiating.
